Finish these sentences.

1.  Plural means more  than one.

2.  The opposite of plural is singular .

3.  A noun is a name of something .

Give me an example of six nouns in our classroom.

Most nouns become plural with the addition of ‘s’ or ‘es’.  For example - hats, chairs, dishes, boxes.  There are rules about plurals.

Plural Nouns

Some nouns end in y. To make the noun plural, change the ‘y’ to ‘i’ and add ‘es’.

BUT… if the letter before the ‘y’ is a vowel, then you simply add an ‘s’ at the end.

Directions: Change the singular form of the noun to a plural form.

Sky High

for our reading class , our group had to read a book about Shy high . We had to research through the book and look for the answers to answer the question. It took us a very long time to figure out were the answers . We manage to finish our work properly .

Preparing for college

Today during our middle block Andrew Patterson came to our school to talk to us about preparing for college . He started of by giving us some tips of the different subjects we would be doing once we start college . The types of subjects we talked about was English , science and Geometry . The reason why we talked about these three types of subjects was because we don't do these subjects in intermediate . Andrew Patterson showed us a video of a boy who gets paid just to speak. We watch one of his videos and it inspired me to try my best before I head to college . We had a great time learning about college .

Writing test

Waking up in the morning knowing that today was going to be our everfirst touch tournament .I went rushing around the house making sure I had everything prepared for this big day . I left home in a hurry , scared and worried that I would be late .

I got to school in a hurry , I   ran fast like speed of lightning running through the sky  to the hall because that's where our touch team was . We sat in two lines waiting to leave the hall . Once we had everything organised we had to walk to Dunkirk because we were competing in a competition . Our goal was to strive to try and come first place .

Once we arrived to Dunkirk we went to find a place to set up the tent . I was so afraid and nervous I had butterflies all around me . We headed to a spot where we could practice some drills for our game plan, the bell rang for our first game .

Our first game was against Tamaki primary . We were standing in our position waiting to start . Once we started we did our game plan and it worked , we got the first try . Once we scored the first try my butterflies was slipping away . They came running up to me which I knew that I had to touch them  . I touched her which made me think I wasn't going to let our team down . We played our best sharing the ball which made us win our first game . The score was 3 - 0 . Was felt joy in us , cheerful that we couldn't stop smiling .

After our ten minute break we went and stood in our positions for our next game . Our next game was against tamaki intermediate but the other team . This game was really challenging . Sweat was coming down our face and we were playing our game seriously. We score five tries and they score 2 tries . This game was really challenging but we tried our best and never gave up .

Winning all our games and ,making it to the finals was really exciting .We had time to practise again because we really wanted to come frist place . Our team was a really  good team because we communicate during our games , we help each other out when we didn’t know what to do and shared the ball which made us even happier .

At the end of the day we were really exhausted . We headed  down to the front to sit down because we had prize giving . Pt England  teams was really happy because we all manage to come first place . We were all proud of us selves because we put all our might for coming first place. We had joy and bliss in us going back to school .

My first rugby match

Walking to school knowing that today was my first  ever rugby game . Scared and nervous of what’s going to happened . The truth is its because I really didn't know how to play . Running to the team asking who’s nervous for this big day everybody seemed to be nervous so I was okay with that .

Once we left the school grounds all the girls were talking about how excited they were to play . I felt left out because I was the only one who didn't really know the game properly . sitting  down still as if I was a stature . I was really scared for this big day wishing I had never came to this rugby game .

As soon as we got to the field , All the teams were already there warming up for their first game . Watching them made more pressure on me  I just wanted all the games over and done with . While we were waiting we decided to do some drills to warm us up and ready for our first game .

Starting our first game against Viscount was a big match . We really wanted to win so we put all our energy into this game . Getting ready for the first kick hoping  that the ball won't come my way .  Catching the ball and running toward the player slowly made my butterflies slip away . losing the first game wasn’t the result we wanted but at least we put all our might into it .

Overall we felt al right losing 2 games and winning 3 . I felt happy because we didn’t give up on any of our games but the thing is we all tried our best to come into the top three . Our team went back to school with pride in us knowing that we were all happy and we tried our best even tho we didn’t get the result we wanted .

Sudoku

In our maths  class we have been given a  task to do Sudoku . What we have to do is in each box we had to do one to nine . But the hard challenge is we are not allowed to do the same number in each column and box . I had a hard time trying to figure this all out but I ended up finishing it .  At first I was confused I started all over again three times but once I got I had joy in me . I had a great time trying to get this done .
